The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), announces the opening of the application period for inter-university transfer for the 2024/2025 academic session. Prospective transfer students are required to adhere to the following guidelines and procedures:
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Applicants must meet UNN’s minimum entry requirements for their intended department.
2. Applicants must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.95 on a 5.00-point scale.
3. Applicants must have spent no more than two (2) academic sessions at their current institution.
4. The number of transfer students admitted to any department will not exceed 4% of the department’s annual admission quota.
5. Applicants must provide a JAMB score that meets or exceeds the minimum score for UNN students admitted to the same department in their original year of admission.
6. Applicants must be transferring into the same course of study.
7. Applicants will not be admitted beyond their second year of study in their chosen program at UNN.
8. Applicants must be currently enrolled at the institution from which they seek to transfer.
Application Procedures
1. Generate Payment Invoice: Access the University of Nigeria website (www.unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) and log in using your telephone number to generate a unique payment invoice for the application processing fee.
2. Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee of ₦300,000.00 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira) via the Remita payment platform at any commercial bank, including the UNN Microfinance Bank. The payment invoice will provide the necessary Remita number for bank processing.
3. Complete Online Application Form: Return to the UNN website or portal and log in using your telephone number and Remita invoice number to complete the online Inter-University Transfer Form.
4. Submit Application: Print the completed form and submit it to the Registry (Admissions) along with copies of your O’Level results and result checkers (WAEC/NECO scratch cards). Submit the final page of the form to your current university registrar for completion and confirmation of your release. Your current registrar should then forward the release form and your transcript to the Registrar, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
5. Incomplete Applications: Applications not completed online will not be processed.
