The Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti is set for positive changes with the appointment of a new governing council.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved the council members, including a chairman and four others, to oversee the affairs of the college.
This move aims to ensure that the institution runs smoothly and improves in delivering quality services.
Governor Oyebanji Approves New Governing Council
Governor Biodun Oyebanji has named Dr. Femi Thomas, former Ekiti Health Commissioner, as the Chairman of the new governing council for the Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
Four other members have also been appointed to the council.
The newly appointed council members are:
- Mrs. Omolayo Tinuke Oluremi
- Mr. Kayode Aina
- Dr. Ola Babayemi Idowu
- Chief Ade Adeyemo
Role and Expectations for the New Governing Council
The appointments were announced by Mr. Yinka Oyebode, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, on Friday.
The aim is to support efficient management of the college and to improve service delivery.
Governor Oyebanji congratulated the new appointees and highlighted their role as a chance for public service.

Effective Date of Appointments
The appointments of the new governing council members will take effect from Monday, 7th October 2024.
This new council will now be responsible for shaping the direction of the Ekiti State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti and ensuring that the institution remains focused on its goals.
