(a) PGD. Degree Programmes
PGD. Degree by Coursework – 2 Semesters
(b) Master’s Degree or Professional Master’s Degree Programmes
Master’s Degree by Coursework and Research Thesis – 3 Semesters
(c) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree or Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Programmes Minimum Duration – 6 Semesters
(d) Certificate Programmes- Six (6) months
6.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(a) PGD Programmes:
An applicant for admission to a PGD programme shall be a graduate of Federal University Otuoke, or any other approved University with at least a Second Class Honours Degree or Third Class in the related discipline. A minimum of Lower Credit is acceptable for HND holders in the relevant disciplines.
(b) Master’s or Professional Master’s Degree Programmes:
An applicant for admission to a Master’s Degree Programme or Professional Master’s degree must be a graduate of Federal University Otuoke, or any other approved university with not less than Second Class (Lower Division).
(c) Doctor of Philosophy Degree or Professional Doctoral Degree Programme:
An applicant for admission to the Ph.D. or DrPH shall be a graduate of Federal University Otuoke, or any other approved university who possesses a Master’s Degree or Professional Master’s Degree with a research thesis and a weighted coursework average which shall normally not be less than a CGPA of 3.5.
(d) Public Health Nursing programmes are strictly for holders of Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent.
(e) Candidates for the certificate programmes must hold a minimum of OND from a government-approved institution.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE
- In addition to the admission requirements as published, all candidates should kindly note that under the University regulations, they must satisfy the O’Level requirements for matriculation into first-degree programmes of Federal University Otuoke, i.e. Five Credit Passes in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.
