European Master in Dynamics of Renewables-based Power Systems (DREAM) is a 2-year Master programme that offers multidisciplinary education in the dynamics and control of modern power systems.
The DREAM European Masters Scholarship responds to the European Commission expectations and objectives in increasing the share of renewable generation and reach the energy and climate targets.
Eligibility Requirements For DREAM European Masters Scholarship 2025
To be considered for the DREAM Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2025, you must:
- be students who already hold a first university degree with the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits (in the European system, or equivalent) after at least three years of studies, at Bachelor of Science level in one of the following fields:
- Power systems
- Smart Grids
- Renewable Generation
- Automatic control
- Power Electronics
- Graduation must take place before 31 July for non European students and before 30 September for European students.
- be fluent in English, both written and spoken. An applicant whose native language is not English is required to pass a recognized international English test
- Applicants who carried out their studies in English are eligible without providing such a test result but with an official confirmation letter from their university is needed. More details on English test exemption cases here.
Rewards For DREAM European Masters Scholarship 2025
- The scholarship will be a contribution to the costs incurred by the beneficiary students and shall cover travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs.
- It is calculated on the basis of a monthly unit cost of €1400/month for the entire period of the programme (24 months). This period covers study, research, placement activities, thesis preparation and defence, in line with the requirement of the joint Master.
- Additionally, students selected as EMJM scholarship-holders will not be required to pay the tuition fees mentioned above.

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Application Form
- CV (please indicate on your CV the courses and scores related to DREAM fields. We also recommend that you provide an explanation where studies lasted longer than normally required by the diploma).
- scan of the passport first pages or identity card (including name, date of birth etc.)
- certified academic degrees with transcripts and diploma supplement (if available) of all university studies, with official translation in English,
- motivation letter (download mandatory template in Word | in PDF)
- evidence of English proficiency with a recognised International English test Certificate (more information in the FAQ)
- mobility preferences (as mentioned in the mobility scheme, applicants are allowed to choose any of the available mobility tracks for their second and third semesters, please note that the jury will do its best to respect it while ensuring equal groups between university partners).

- NB: The proof of residence must have been issued within 12 months before the submission deadline of applying for an EMJMD student scholarship.
How To Apply For DREAM European Masters Scholarship 2025
To apply for the DREAM European Masters Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should;

- Applicants will register through an online application platform.
- They will have to fill out an online form with their personal data and upload the aforementioned documents.
- The selection committee ranks the applicants onto a main list and a reserve list.
Students on the main list are considered for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or a Consortium scholarship. - Pre-selected candidates on the main list will be invited to participate in a video conference interview to exchange with the jury.
