Available Postgraduate Programmes
Postgraduate Diploma Programme
- Eligibility: Must have a qualification equivalent to a first degree (at least Third Class Degree or higher) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Lower Credit.
- Experience: Relevant post-qualification experience may be required.
Master’s Degree Programme
- Academic Master’s Degree:
- Minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) Degree from YUMSUK or any recognized university.
- Third Class Degree plus a good Postgraduate Diploma at credit level from YUMSUK with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 from any other recognized university or institution.
- Professional Master’s Degree:
- Minimum of Second-Class Lower Degree in the relevant area from YUMSUK or any recognized university.
Ph.D. and M.Phil. Degree Programmes
- Ph.D. Programme:
- Must hold an Academic Master’s Degree from YUMSUK or any recognized university with a CGPA of at least 3.50 on a 5.00 scale.
- Candidates with a CGPA of at least 3.00 may be considered for M.Phil./Ph.D.
- M.Phil. Programme:
- Must hold an M.Phil. from any recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
How to Apply for YUMSUK Postgraduate Admission
The online sale of application forms for Postgraduate Programmes will commence from Monday, 8th July 2024, and will end on Sunday, 11th August 2024.
Application Procedure
- Online Form: Complete the online application form by visiting the Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano application page.
- Entry Requirements: Ensure you have the entry requirements for the programme you are applying for, including five O’ level credits in English and Mathematics.
- Application Fee: The cost of the application form is Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00), excluding bank charges (non-refundable).
- Transcripts: Ph.D. and Academic Master’s applicants should ensure their academic transcripts are sent to the School of Postgraduate Studies, YUMSUK.
- Research Proposal: Ph.D. applicants must submit a research proposal of not more than 300 words.
