The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that candidates whose 2024 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results were withheld due to infractions can re-check their results starting Monday.
This information is coming shortly after the conclusion of the 78th Nigeria Examinations Committee meeting which ended on October 9, 2024, according to a post examination body.
In an update for candidates awaiting their examination results, the examination body on its X platform announced that re-checks will commence on Monday, October 14, 2024.
“The 78th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) ended on 9th October, 2024.
“The communique from the meeting will be made available soon.
“Candidates can re-check their results from Monday, 14th October, 2024,” WAEC posted.
THE WHISTLER reports that the 78th meeting was held to tackle the pressing issue of malpractice and irregularities reported during the 2024 WASSCE for school candidates.
The examination body, while releasing the result of the 2024 WASSCE for the May/June examination, disclosed that about 215,267 results were withheld for examination malpractices.
