Following the expiration of the tenure of the Acting Registrar, Rev. Samuel N. Ufoh, a new Acting Registrar has been appointed by the University. He is Mr. Victor I.O. Modebelu. The appointment letter dated October 7, 2024 and signed by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof Carol Arinze-Umobi, stated that the appointment was approved by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Ambassador Greg O. Mbadiwe CFR, on behalf of the Governing Council of the University and consistent with Section 2.2.1i(iii) of the Senior Staff Conditions of Service. The letter further stated that the new Acting Registrar will be in office until the appointment of a substantive Registrar but in any case, not exceeding six months from the date of this appointment.
Until his appointment, the new Acting Registrar Mr. Victor Modebelu was a Deputy Registrar 1 in charge of General Administration.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Carol Arinze-Umobi extends her warm congratulations to the new Acting Registrar and implores him to rededicate his energy in the overall interest of the University.
