Eligibility For 2025 Scholarship in Molecular and Cellular Botany At Ruhr-Universität Bochum
- Master’s degree in Biology or equivalent natural science
- PhD in plant physiology or a related discipline
- Practical experience with molecular biological and biochemical methods
- Practical experience working with Arabidopsis thaliana, including cultivation, transformation, and genotype/phenotype characterization
- Excellent proficiency in both German and English, with strong communication and presentation skills in both languages
- Experience in practical student training is desirable
- Optional: Experience in acquiring third-party funding
Description For 2025 Scholarship in Molecular and Cellular Botany At Ruhr-Universität Bochum
- Conducting general molecular biological and biochemical methods (e.g., PCR, cloning, protein purification and detection)
- Utilizing cell biological techniques such as the use of fluorescence markers and their analysis using laser confocal and fluorescence microscopy
- Independently documenting and responsibly evaluating data; participating in the writing of publications and the subsequent peer-review process
- Acquiring third-party funding, at least for more experienced candidates
- Teaching and training students in basic and laboratory internships (4 SWS)
