Description For 2025 Scholarship  At Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)

The PhD project will explore the molecular and cellular basis of reproductive biorhythms in marine Syllidae annelids as part of the EVORHYTHM project. The research will utilize various methodologies, including bulk RNA sequencing, tandem mass spectrometry-based proteomics, single-cell RNA sequencing, and functional assays. The primary objective is to understand how environmental sensors and endocrine systems regulate reproductive capacities in these marine organisms.

The successful candidate will join a team that integrates traditional and cutting-edge technologies to address key evolutionary biology questions. This role provides excellent training in both laboratory techniques and bioinformatics, with a strong focus on collaborative work.
