Delta State Approves Construction of College of Medical Sciences at DSUST Ozoro

Delta State Government Approves New College at DSUST

The Delta State Government, on Wednesday, approved the establishment of the College of Medical Sciences at DSUST, located in Ozoro, within the Isoko North Local Government Area.

This decision was reached during a State Executive Council meeting held at Government House in Asaba.

The meeting was presided over by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, made this announcement while briefing journalists in Asaba.

He was joined by several key officials, including Commissioners for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Reuben Izeze, and for Works (Rural and Riverine Roads), Mr. Charles Aniagwu.

Also present were the Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Nyerovwo Tonukari, and Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Festus Ahon.

Compensation Approved for Land Acquisition

The State Executive Council also approved the payment of compensation for land acquired for the establishment of the DSUST Orerokpe campus.

This move aims to pave the way for further expansion of the university.
