Eligibility For 2025 Scholarship in Quantum Optics, Chapman University
- A conferred doctoral or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, physics, applied physics, or related fields is required before the start date of the appointment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong background and understanding of quantum mechanics concepts and/or a strong background in experimental ultrafast optics.
- Programming experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, MATLAB, Mathematica.
Description For 2025 Scholarship in Quantum Optics, Chapman University
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct independent research and/or collaborate on multiple research projects, provide guidance and support to undergraduate/graduate students associated with the related projects, document research activities, and publish key findings in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. The role will also involve opportunities for collaboration with other scholars and researchers.
Successful applicants with theoretical backgrounds are expected to work on analytical and numerical approaches in one or both of the above research themes. Those with experimental optics backgrounds are expected to work in the laboratory setting, collaborate with other researchers, and be capable of conceptualizing, designing, and carrying out experiments.
