Eligibility For 2025 Scholarship in Ecosystem Modelling At ZALF
- PhD in crop science or agronomy
- Solid knowledge in crop stress physiology
- Extensive experience in the development and application of crop models at a large scale
- Robust experience with R or Python
- Proven experience in handling big data
- Excellent written and spoken English skills required
Description For 2025 Scholarship in Ecosystem Modelling At ZALF
- Supporting in supervision of PhD candidates in data analysis and field measurements
- Contributing to global crop model intercomparison initiatives (e.g. AgMIP) through the calibration and execution of the MONICA crop model
- Assisting in the development of research proposals for major German funding agencies (e.g., DFG), with a focus on climate change impact assessments using process-based crop models, particularly addressing compound abiotic stresses
