Description For 2025 PhD Thesis At UCLouvain
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Ludovic Troian-Gautier at UCLouvain and in collaboration with Dr. Alejandro Cadranel in Germany. Responsibilities include:
- Synthesizing and analyzing novel monometallic and bimetallic chromophores with photo-inactive and photo-active metal centers (WP-1 and WP-2).
- Studying chromophores with ligand substitutions including electron-donating/withdrawing groups (WP-3).
- Conducting photophysical and photochemical measurements of ground and excited states.
- Exploring ultrafast deactivation processes through temporary research stays in Germany.
