  • A Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering
  • Experience with embedded hardware specification, firmware programming for embedded systems, signal collection and processing
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, high motivation, and excellent communication abilities
  • Prior experience with mechatronic devices is advantageous

Description For 2024 Scholarship At University of Twente, Enschede

  • Develop a system that integrates real-time software with dedicated EMG electrodes and amplifiers, custom-made vibrotactors, and an open-source ankle prosthesis
  • Expand the developed system to make it suitable for outdoor conditions and real-world tests with lower-limb amputees
  • Collaborate with researchers from Aalborg University, Ottobock, Roessingh Research and Development, and Radboud University
  • Collaborate with top scientists in biomechatronics and neuromechanical modeling
  • Facilitate and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
  • Coordinate research activities with clinical centers for human-robot interaction studies
