Description For 2024 Fellowship In Sustainable Energy At Lawrence Berkeley National Lab

The Postdoctoral Fellow will provide technical and scientific leadership, emphasizing the development of an analytical framework for analyzing energy demands in industrial processes at the unit operation level. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and documenting process-specific energy use profiles by disaggregating them into individual unit operations.
  • Conducting innovative analysis in areas such as industrial energy use, decarbonization strategies, techno-economic analysis, clean energy technologies, and GHG emissions mitigation.
  • Performing in-depth engineering assessments of sustainable energy technologies across a range of energy system problems.
  • Authoring and contributing to publications on industrial energy use profiles and deep decarbonization strategies.
  • Contributing to project management activities and developing relationships with funders and stakeholders.
